Just outside Amsterdam, where there is space to breathe and room for children to run, to be loud, to play outside without anyone worrying. That was the pull of Muiden for this family. More space, more calm, more life.

Our clients work in fashion and entertainment. Their days are full, fast and creative. Home needed to be the place where none of that followed them in. Calm when they arrived. Warm the moment they walked through the door.

The challenge with a new build is that it starts without a story. Our job was to give it one, to make this house feel like it could only ever belong to this specific family, not like the one next door, or the one after that. We chose a warm white as the base and built the character from there. Walnut wood details with real grain and warmth. Stainless steel that is tough enough for real family life. A large kitchen island designed to be the centre of everything, because in this house it always will be. Design pieces and vintage finds that give the rooms their personality. The result is a home with roots, even though it was built yesterday.
